Why Tan, Not Khaki, Should Be Your New Go-To Pants Color

If we’ve said it once, we’ve said it eight thousand goddamn times: Khaki pants are the lazy man’s way of dressing up.

Now, we’re not bashing khakis in and of themselves. They’re a fashion staple and have been for a hundred years, and for good reason. They’re durable, versatile, and you can find them anywhere.

The problem is that they’ve gradually become to default pants that stylishly clueless men inevitably pair with whatever random shirt they happen to choose when they mindless, half-in-a-stupor prod for and yank out of their closet at 6:00 a.m. because they know whatever they reel in will technically match and they can pass for “business casual” at work.

No more. No more will you be that guy. No more will we let you be that guy. You WILL NOT be that lame office drone who goes to Khakis the way shitty comedians talk about airline food, or how Tommy Wiseau cuts to a sex scene.

You WILL, however, learn to slightly tweak your inclination to do this and opt for Khakis cooler cousin, the tan pants. Equally versatile, equally durable, but….different. You’ll set yourself apart from Khaki Dan in Accounting without having to pierce something like Emo Dan in the mail room.

We’ve put together some looks with TAN pants for you to try. So don’t go cheating and turning back to your lame old Dockers. Trust us, we’ll know.
